INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Cup Crushed Nacho Cheese Protein Puffs
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Large Yellow Onions
  • 4 Slices Favorite Cheese (Gouda)
  • 1/3 Cup Sour Cream
  • Few Dashes of Your Favorite Hot Sauce
  • Oil to Fry
INSTRUCTIONS:

HOW TO

  • Crush the Nacho Cheese Puffs in a food processor or inside a sealed bag using a rolling pin. Pour crumbs into a large bowl.
  • Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Heat oil in a cast iron pan to 325–350°F.
  • Cut onion into thick rings and separate. Cut cheese into strips.
  • Build your rings: Place a cheese strip inside a large ring, then press a smaller ring on top to seal. Repeat with all rings.
  • Freeze the assembled rings for 15–20 minutes so they hold together.
  • Dip each ring in egg, then coat well with crushed puffs. Repeat for a double coat.
  • Fry for 2–5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel to drain.
  • Mix 1/3 cup sour cream with a little hot sauce for dipping.
  • Serve hot, crispy, and cheesy — enjoy!
