INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Cup Crushed Nacho Cheese Protein Puffs
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Large Yellow Onions
- 4 Slices Favorite Cheese (Gouda)
- 1/3 Cup Sour Cream
- Few Dashes of Your Favorite Hot Sauce
- Oil to Fry
INSTRUCTIONS:
HOW TO
- Crush the Nacho Cheese Puffs in a food processor or inside a sealed bag using a rolling pin. Pour crumbs into a large bowl.
- Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl.
- Heat oil in a cast iron pan to 325–350°F.
- Cut onion into thick rings and separate. Cut cheese into strips.
- Build your rings: Place a cheese strip inside a large ring, then press a smaller ring on top to seal. Repeat with all rings.
- Freeze the assembled rings for 15–20 minutes so they hold together.
- Dip each ring in egg, then coat well with crushed puffs. Repeat for a double coat.
- Fry for 2–5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel to drain.
- Mix 1/3 cup sour cream with a little hot sauce for dipping.
- Serve hot, crispy, and cheesy — enjoy!
